Curriculum used in international schools in Malaysia

Many international schools follow a different curriculum than their local counterparts. In Malaysia, there are over 100 international schools, which are often referred to as “international schools.” Choosing one can be a daunting task, but with so many different options available, you can rest assured that your child is getting an education that is unique and suited to their needs. Here is a quick guide to international schools and the types of curriculum they follow.

Many international schools in Malaysia use the British Curriculum, which is one of the most widely accepted. The UK, France, and US have all been used to develop their curriculums. But international schools in Malaysia may use more than one. Many offer more than one curriculum, including the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the American Curriculum. In addition to these three main curriculums, international schools in Malaysia also offer their own curriculums.

The curriculum is broken down into stages, depending on the age of the child. The preschooler will be enrolled in the Foundation stage, which is focused on learning through play and introduces the fundamentals of literacy and numeracy. In the primary stage, children will focus on expanding their knowledge of maths, languages, and other subjects. Tests will be given to measure their progress and achievement. The school teachers will also mark these tests.
